Nice little neighborhood bakery
Based on the first 2 reviews I visited Vienna Treasures this afternoon. I purchased the Chocolate Paw Cookies and a Hazelnut Braid. (Just over $16.00 for the two items). Both of these are pretty good. I can make better versions of both IMHO, and my Oma certainly can. That said, I did not have to make these. They are a good quality, good tasting product produced by a charming lady in a cute, clean little premises, attractively wrapped and they were available to me at no more effort than that required to drive about 10 blocks each way. There is definitely something to be said for that. I will certainly return to try the Beesting Cake among other things as I must know if it truly surpasses Oma's!!!

As authentic as can be
I have to say, this bakery is as close as one can come to Oma's baking. The beesting cake is absolutely incredible, and all the other treats I've tried are extremely close to all sorts of goodies from my childhood. All my friends that have had the chance to try the beesting cake agree that it is heavenly. PLEASE give this place a try, as I hope it stays open at this location for good. It is truly a treasure in the Lower Mainland, not just New West!
